Unacceptable Specimen Conditions

Stool specimen in transport media (10% formalin, Merthiolate Formalin, Sodium Acetate Formalin, Polyvinyl Alcohol, or other fixatives) cannot be used. Stool contaminated with urine. Swab specimen. Non-fecal sample received (eg, serum, plasma, urine).
